'Big Ed' Glasby
One of our keenest archers, often managing to attend more shoots than anyone in a season and he's shown that practice makes perfect.
He’s won the Robert Wallis Trophy shoot (2007), the Crecy shoot (2009). Agincourt Trophy (2013, 2014), Highest season average (2009, 2010, 2011, 2013), Highest Score Trophy (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), Highest Handicapped Average (2009, 2013), Wednesday Night Trophy (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013). In fact the only trophy he is yet to win is the Improver Trophy – I’m sure he’ll get that one too at some point.
He also won the prestigious Fraternity Of Saint George ‘Champagne Shoot’ in 2008 against archers from clubs all over Europe.
He held the club highest score record from July 2007 to June 2008 and again from August 2009 to present with a remarkable score of 148.
He is the clubs 'academic', with degrees in Egyptian Archaeology and Archaeology & Anthropology (an MA in this one from Oxford!) - and is a science fiction/horror writer - see some of his output at: http://www.eternalnight.co.uk/fiction/2002F/thefinalact.html
